Jacqueline Jenkins is the founder of Sophisticated Curation, a fashion-oriented community for seasoned female leaders. Sophisticated Curation’s mission is to amplify the voices and service the interests of the often-overlooked fashion needs of women over the age of 40. Jacqueline’s passion for fashion was sparked while playing with paper dolls as a young girl in Philadelphia, PA. Having worked in corporate finance for over 20 years before pursuing her love for fashion, she understands first-hand the desire to lean into your femininity and status as a mature leader in environments where gender and age are often discounted. She founded Sophisticated Curation to ensure that women over 40 always present their best selves in whatever stage of life they are experiencing-– mid-career to retirement, to empty nesting to newly divorced. Most recently, Jacqueline added the service of curating fashion travel excursions for women of color to attend Fashion Weeks around the world. Before founding Sophisticated Curation, Jacqueline held positions in corporate finance and operations at Ann Taylor, The Wharton School, and the regional accounting firm Milligan & Company. For more than ten years, Jacqueline has served in executive administration roles in fashion education at some of the most recognized institutions in the world, following her passion for developing young people. Jacqueline is the co-author of Fashion Supply Chain Management, published by Fairchild Books. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Jacqueline has worked in New York City for more than ten years. She received her undergraduate degree from Spelman College, and she holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania.
